HOMES projects must achieve a minimum 20% modeled energy savings to qualify for rebates. All installed equipment or appliances must be ENERGY STAR® labeled.

The Department of Energy (DOE) limits customer participation to one HOMES project per address, for the lifetime of the IRA Home Energy Rebates Program.

The 20%+ modeled savings is based on the overall energy efficiency improvement in the home. Updates that can be used to meet that 20%+ are:

o  Envelope
o  Insulation and air-sealing
o  ENERGY STAR Windows / doors
o  Mechanical Improvements
o  ENERGY STAR Furnaces
o  ENERGY STAR Boilers
o  ENERGY STAR Air-Conditioning
o  ENERGY STAR Heat Pumps
o  Duct Sealing
o  ENERGY STAR Water Heating
o  ENERGY STAR Appliance upgrades:
o  Freezer
o  Dishwasher
o  Clothes washer
o  Refrigerator
o  Dryer
o  Stove / range
o  Pool Pump
